Excel Homes have expert craftsman who have constructed more than 28,000 homes for over 20 years. Excel homes are built inside and away from the elements which allows us to retain the most skilled craftsman and keeps the building materials clean and dry. Workstations are set up for maximum quality and repeatability using well maintained, high precision tools.
Framing of the homes are done using pre-measured jigs built absolutely square. A double 2 x 10 perimeter band insures the integrity of entire house and 16 o.c. joists and tongue-in-groove floor sheathing adds to the structural rigidity. The drywall on all exterior walls is glued, screwed and sprayed with foam-seal to assure rigidity and OSB is used for the exterior wall sheathing to ad strength.
Excel maintains strict quality requirements on incoming material and wood products. Upon delivery, these materials are tested for moisture content and if they are found to have moisture higher than Excel's strict limit than the materials are rejected and sent back to the supplier.
